Lack of tolerance in our society

Nations can be divided into many categories regarding their behaviours. Our nation is one of its kind. There are good aspects of this uniqueness and unfortunately, there are bad aspects. Good aspects need to be appreciated and bad aspects need to be criticised.

One of the bad aspects is growing rate of lack of mutual respect and tolerance in our society. There are a lot of obvious and hidden reasons and phenomena behind this. Our nation has been treated badly by the hands of politicians and higher authorities for years. A common man not getting his basic needs and rights is one of the major reasons of growing frustration.

Various examples of such frustration are witnessed on roads on daily basis. A person after committing a driving blunder never seems ready to apologise or even let it go. He will prefer shouting at you and fighting if needed.

Disposal of garbage is another such issue that causes fights. A fight between two ladies usually is seen to be grown between the male members. The point is one of them is surely guilty which he will never accept. Secondly if a man disposed off garbage in front of your house, you could use a polite way of talking to him. But we will kill anything other than our ego. This mind set has harmed us more than anything else.

We first misbehave with others and then complain about others being too rude. That is just our own deeds hitting us back. If someone is responsible for your depression, it is you. You are the one who replied a bad mouthed person with a bad mouth. Walking away just ignoring the idiots on your way will save your good mood. And probably the person who misbehaved with you, might reconsider his behaviour. However try to give him taste of his medicine, he will surely not reconsider.

All we can contribute to overcome this evil is to control ourselves and keep our egos checked. Staying quiet does not make you any less of a man than you already are. Take your own responsibility to improve yourself. Whole nation will be improved.
